Ghosts Of War

The book I'm reading is Ghosts Of War, it is about a man named Ryan Smithson, he joined the military when he was 17 in 2001 when the infamous day of 9/11 took place. I have read pretty far ahead, here is a quick run down of the main characters. Of coarse there is Spc.Smithson, there is the lieutenant, and their sarge, i can't recall their names at this time, i will talk more about them in my second post. But anyway, Smithson is an army reserves trooper, he went to Kuwait, and was stationed there for a little bit. after a few weeks he and his convoy drove across the border into Iraq, they were thinking that Iraq would be war-torn, and destroyed, they expected bombs and bullets. instead they were confronted with peace. although they were ordered to shoot and kill children who threw rocks at them, maybe with good reason. rocks hurling at you while your going 60 mph down the road can be deadly.
