Once when I was six, my brother and I were playing video games in my room on the second floor of the house we were living in at the time. My brother looked at me and said
“Bro, I have the perfect idea”. I looked at him and said
“alright, what is it?”
“well, if you get some cardboard and duck tape, and tape it on your arms, climb up to the roof, and jump off you can fly!” I looked at him nervously and said
“Alright sweet.” So, I went into the cold, dark, damp, and drafty, cross base to look for some cardboard. After that ordeal, I went outside to look for duck tape in my dad’s toolbox on his truck. I found it under the jack hammer, and an old work coat. I went back inside to craft my “flight suit” with some scissors that I found in my mom’s sewing kit.
After I finished my “suit” my brother helped me tape the “wings” to my arms and legs, then proceeded to help me get to the roof of our house with a ladder he found in the back yard. As we were on the roof, my brother patted me on the back and said “your ready, good luck”.
I semi smiled and said “yeah, I hope so”. As I took the leap of faith, I felt the wind hit my face and I began to flap my arms helplessly, falling to the hard ground, face first.
When my mom heard me scream In pain she ran outside and saw my brother just laughing. She screamed at the top of her lungs “TYLER PENNY, GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW!”
“yes Ma’am” he said in a low voice.
My mom walked over to m, picked me up and took me inside, lord only knows what my mom said and how my brother felt
