lockdown

the book i'd prefer to read is lockdown. i would want to read it because i'm judging it by it's cover and because i can. i'm hoping that its a thriller and somewhat has a twist. i don't have a second choice.

Comment: dude, bro, Andres this post is epic

Bravery and Courage

actions that i believe are brave would be speaking to somebody you may or may not have a crush on. facing your fears, and going face first into danger. standing up to a bully or doing things outside your comfort-zone.
Soldiers are the most brave of any human. they fight for our freedom, the sacrifice their lives so we can sleep in a bed and so our vehicles don't have bullet holes in the side.

hoovervilles

"Hoovervilles" started off as "tent cities" for the homeless, after sometime, the people residing in these towns began to build better shelter, such as shacks. these people were dirt poor and their "economy" consisted of an "I.O.U". My grandfather told stories of these when he was growing up. he never actually lived in one but he knew people who did. He said when he went to trade with some of them, sewage was running in the streets, people weren't clean, he spoke of one of the people he traded with in particular. saying that he couldn't wait until they had clean water so he could bathe and not get sick from drinking their water. he said they blamed president hoover for this poverty they suffered through.

interesting facts 'ol chap. very drawn out indeed.

Elizabethan Food

The food the people ate during this time period isn't  as different as  the food we eat today. they Spit roasted, Baked, Boiled, Smoked, Salted, and  Fried their food. but the specifics varied with class and wealth. if you were rich and high class, you probably would eat meats and vegetables. while poor people would probably eat bread and cheese.

i agree andres,. but some of them sound like something completely random and something i'd end up doing.

deceit

ghillie suits are used to deceive any scout, or patrol. most people cannot see ghillie suits without a sharp eye.

ski masks are a kind of deceit. they hide your face from anybody who may recognize your face

voice amplifiers manipulate your voice so nobody can recognize it.

Hitmen may use deceit to get close to their targets.

ninjas use deceit to walk around undetected and gather information for their boss.

Shakespeare sources

http://www.opensourceshakespeare.org/ this source talks about his life and what may have happened during the "lost years". http://shakespeare.palomar.edu/sources.htm this source talks about his sonnets and such. http://www.folger.edu/eduPrimSrcArch.cfm this source talks primarily about his plays. http://pages.towson.edu/quick/romeoandjuliet/sources.htm this source talks mainly of Romeo & Juliet http://www.pbs.org/shakespeare/educators/primary/indepth.html this source talks about all of the plays in depth. this is the source that I would use because it doesn't discriminate against any of his plays. nice one Devin, these will be helpful when I do research on Shakespeare

connections

The play, A Raisin in the Sun, has no connecting towards me what so ever. but it has major connections with my Dad. he grew up in Sparta Illinois with eight other siblings. my dad being the youngest male. My grandfather worked two jobs and only brought home enough money to put food on the table and pay bills. he ran a farm on the side to there would be extra food. According to my Dad, they had it better than most black families in the area. My grandma would always give my dad some money when he went out with his friends, a 10 year old with 10 dollars back in '66 was real good money to his peers and to him. Grandpa never knew she did such a thing though. my dad also lost a lot of money a few years later when he was eighteen to gambling, 1500 dollars was lost playing poker. Hi Andres. I'm sure my grandfather remembers some of those things as well. i couldn't imagine getting just an orange for Christmas.
