you watched over me when i was a youngster
you told me ghost stories
you were 5'6 to the top of your hat
but when you talked about the war
i thought you were superman
you always made me laugh
even at the age of 89 you were hell bent on feeding the chickens
dad always told you he would but you still refuse
even in the nursing home your will kept you talking of escape
i remember you almost broke a nurse's arm
we always went to see you and bring you your favorite taffy
your life, sir, was defiantly a long and well lived life.
